Caravan Hitch Lock Alko Saracen Fullstop Security

We’ve used this look for a few years now and it’s very easy to install. The only issue I’ve had with it is that you can’t leave it on whilst towing. It isn’t a big issue really, but when you stop at a service station for coffee we’re not keen on leaving the caravan unattended.

For that reason alone I’m replacing it. I would have replaced it sooner, however, I was keen to get my monies worth and kept it for what I thought was a reasonable amount of time. I guess about 4 years..

We’ve just purchased this from Amazon. Yes it is a lot more expensive, but we can leave it on whilst driving and more importantly when we stop and pop in to Costa for a coffee it won’t be a simple case of lifting it off the hitch. Which is peace of mind, well worth it in my book. However, due to the cost I’ll probably need to keep it for about 16 years! 🙁
