Having a caravan checklist for tools is equally as important as the other checklists in the series. Even if you have a new or nearly new caravan, carrying a few basic tools could help save the day is something goes wrong. This list could be limitless and it really depends on how much you feel comfortable fixing. I personally take a minimal tool kit, which contains most things on this list. At the very least a gas spanner is useful as it allows you to disconnect the gas bottle should you run out. I also carry a multi tool, which is like a hammer, screwdriver knife etc in one tool
Over time your own personal caravan checklist will of course increase.
- Spanners
- Gas spanner
- Long nosed pliers
- Utility knife
- Screwdrivers (philips and flat)
- Jack
- Hammer
- Mallet
- Cable ties
- Electrical tape
- PTFE tape
- Bottle opener…
A good starting point is a tool kit such as
- 1 x measuring tape 5m, 1 x hammer 369g, 1 x combination pliers, 1 x long nose pliers.
- 1 x bit screwdriver with 11Â bits, 4Â x screwdriver, 1 x spirit level.
- 1 x soft case and 1 x set with 16 Allen keys.
- Model number: STMT0-74101
